What is Conscious Dance?
Conscious Dance is a holistic system of integration and development of human potential. These online sessions are an invitation to experience our very own vitality, creativity, joie de vivre and sensuality within a holistic system of integration and development of human potential. We experience ourselves in the powerful combination of music, movement and encounters in the group, discover flow and joie de vivre, get to know ourselves and our bodies in a new way and can often develop a stronger perception of our own needs, which in the long term also often affects ours very much find and implement a healthy lifestyle in a challenging everyday life. For this we use the intelligence of the body. We dance about experiencing, moving and embodying life themes step by step with the flow of life into an opening of the heart.
In this way we can go through the challenges of everyday life much more powerfully and consciously, find more expression for what really makes us who we are. You not only strengthen yourself, but together with others you open the gates and hearts for change towards a world that we wish for.
The sessions give you a guided but very free space to feel yourself and to find expression through movement. They are a very powerful path of personal transformation.
Course Topic – Dance of the Elements – 60 min
The idea of the four elements comes from ancient mythology and includes the elements earth, water, air and fire. Each element has its own properties and is associated with certain aspects of life.
- Earth: The earth symbolizes stability, down-to-earthness and materiality. It is closely connected to the physical body and our sensual experiences.
On a psychological level, the earth represents our strength, our steadfastness and our sense of reality. - Water: Water represents the feelings, the intuition and the fluidity of life. It stands for change, agility and flexibility. On a psychological level, water represents our subconscious, our emotions and our empathy.
- Air: Air is the element of thoughts, ideas and spirit. It stands for clarity, lightness and freedom. On a psychological level, air represents our mental abilities such as intellect, creativity and communication.
- Fire: Fire is the element of energy, passion and transformation. It stands for dynamism, enthusiasm and self-realization. On a psychological level, fire stands for our motivation, our willpower and our creativity.
These four elements can serve as a tool to understand our inner self and support us in personal development. As we become familiar with the different properties of each element, we can learn to recognize and balance our strengths and weaknesses in order to live a balanced and fulfilling life.
